“Live A Life That Matters”

Live A Life That Matters, first page of a powerpoint slidedeck.

A long time, and many jobs ago, I worked in Darwin in the same company as one Sue Stanway.  Now there are lots of things I could say about Sue, and none of them bad.

Going though my old email attachments, I found this Power Point slide deck from Sue.

The important thing that stuck from the slide deck is

Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident. It’s not a matter of circumstance but of choice.

I was wondering if you could tell me if the Sue Stanway you are referring to was ever a teacher who taught at Bankstown Public School in the 1970's. I attended the school and had her for my teacher and she read to us from an amazing book all about how Christmas is celebrated in different countries. It has stuck with me all this time and I would really love to find out what the book was so I can get a copy and read it to my children.
