Had an issue at work recently.
The background is that BlackBerry emails are delayed when you have 10,000+ emails in your mail file. It takes time for the BlackBerry Server to scan for changes. At the 12,501 message mark, throws it’s hands in the air.
So I ask our email team, can you check:
- does the user have more than 10,000 messages?
- is message archiving working?
(we archive messages after 60 days).
47592 messages dating back to 2003. And yes, auto-archiving is broken for this user. We don’t know why yet.
And who said BlackBerry Support was interesting???
